WHO’s YOUR JOKER?
Batman Arkham Asylum: A serious House on Serious Earth by Grant Morrison and Dave McKean is a graphic novel dealing with the two most infamous icons of our generation, Batman and Joker. Beautiful art work exists throughout this book making it a pleasure to read. Beyond that lies a story of survival and dependency.
Sure Batman has built a reputation over the years as being heroic and outgoing but he is nothing without his nemesis, The Joker. The Joker is psychotic and passes the point of crazy. As such, Batman spends most of his time trying to undue the works of Joker and his men and other inmates.
The Joker is the Ying to Batman’s Yang. Batman needs The Joker in order to remain sane and The Joker needs Batman to have the feeling of being pursued and important. The Joker suppresses the craziness down inside of Batman because he is crazy enough by himself.
We all have a Joker in our lives that we spend countless times trying to prove ourselves to or trying to stop them from destroying our dreams. Yet, somehow they create a perfect balance in our life’s by causing us to reach levels we have never reached or come to realizations about our self that make us a better person.
What has your Joker done for you? Do tell down below!
Currently, I have been playing Killzone Mercenary for the PS Vita. It is a KILLZONE game through and through. The usual kill or be killed applies here except, you earn money for your kills and the contracts that you complete.
During my initial start up the game, I put the difficulty settings on medium or the icon in the middle to ensure that I would have a challenge. I thought that by increasing the difficulty that I would receive more trophies for completing a chapter. This was one of the most difficult settings to play the game on. Now I find myself about 5 chapters in, surrounded by a host of Helghast looking to stump my head in. Running in guns blazing isn’t proving to be the best strategy at the moment. I always end up burnt to a crisp by the one of the Helghast.
Perhaps your difficulty isn’t in completing a book or a game, maybe it is in real life. Test’s, trials and difficulties come to make us stronger. So don’t give up, be encouraged because if bad is occurring now, good is right around the corner; they always travel together!
Have you ever read a book where it was hard for you to continue or even make an attempt to start reading? Have you ever played a game where you couldn’t figure out how to make progress past the part you’re stuck on? Say something about it below. Until next time!
The Grand Theft Auto 5 Epidemic!
Now, I know the word epidemic usually signifies a terrible thing but this is the word I am using for a game that appeals to the masses. A game that signifies the relevance of a gamer’s existence.
Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold faster than any other game and will certainly be in the history books.
Some of you might have thought that this would be a review of sorts………. This is instead an acknowledgement to the power that Grand Theft Auto 5 has on the world at the moment. The influence it has in mainstream and local communities by far.
Got a computer? Go on YouTube? You will be bombarded with GTA5. The world is truly in Grand Theft Auto 5 frenzy. Of course this is a good thing as the game is being played instead of acted out in real life.
The series is often the target of bad press and blamed for numerous catastrophes.
Have you beaten Grand Theft Auto 5 yet? Are you holding out until they release the online part of the game like I am? What are your thoughts on the game? Perhaps, you might feel that the game is over rated and haven’t gotten it at all.
WHY DID IT HAVE TO END?
Have you ever read a book or played a game so captivating that it consumed a lot of your time?
Did you ever ask yourself the question, “Why did it have to end?”
Recently for me, that game was none other than “The Walking Dead : The Complete First Season” by Telltale games, based off the Comic book by Robert Kirkman.
“The Walking Dead” strikes the perfect balance between fun and scary. The actors portray their respective roles with sincere emotion making this non stop zombie roller coaster impossible to stop playing.
The story made all the difference for this game, it adapts to your decision making.
Overall, this game is a must play for those who are gamers and or casual players. I highly recommend this game .
If you are a English fanatic and want to experience an interactive story at the same time you cannot go wrong by playing this game.
As far as books are considered, one of the books that I have read in the past that completely captivated me was non other than “Their Eyes Were Watching God” by Zora Neale Hurston.
This book was a easy read with depth and tons of emotion. Exploring the love life of a colored light skin girl and her nay sayers who were of darker skin tone.
Love and relationship make their appearance here, running as a theme through out.
This book will make a good read during the winter months.
